Is Melonis Kite Spot is a gem for those who want to practice kitesurfing in Sardinia in flat water conditions and uncrowded spots. The home spot of Kite House Sardinia, located in the Sant’Antioco lagoon, just 500 meters from the accommodations, offers privileged access to this “unspoiled and secret” place. Characterized by a vast shallow bottom free of obstacles and constant, reliable wind, it is perfect for kitesurfers of all levels.

The kite spot is highly appreciated for its shallow and flat water, making it the ideal place for kitesurfing. The large space of the Sant’Antioco lagoon can host many kiters in total safety.

The wind blows throughout the year, increasing in intensity with the thermal wind (from May to October) and the “Venturi effect” produced by the unique morphology of this stretch of coast. In particular, the North-West and South winds, with sun or little cloudiness, blow 5 to 10 knots stronger than expected.

Punta Trettu can be reached with a wonderful “down/up winder.” Kite House Sardinia also offers downwind trips from Punta Saliga (above Punta Trettu), which are accompanied by guides in boats, and participants are equipped with helmet radios.
