As a kitesurf school in Sardinia, Kite House Sardinia is proud to announce that during the 2023 season, four of our instructors were awarded the prestigious title of “Best Instructor of the Week” by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO).
This achievement is particularly meaningful considering that there are only 52 weeks in a year and more than 350 affiliated IKO Centers across over 60 countries worldwide.

The International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO), founded in 2001, promotes the safe and structured development of kitesurfing and has become the largest kiteboarding organization in the world.
Today, IKO counts an active community of over 600,000 kiters, more than 5,000 certified instructors, and around 350 affiliated centers worldwide. Its mission is to ensure that kitesurfing is practiced according to the highest international safety and teaching standards.
Why IKO certification matters
IKO affiliation provides kitesurf schools with international recognition and assures students that lessons are conducted following strict safety, quality, and progression standards.
At the end of each course, students receive an official IKO certification, which certifies the level achieved and is recognized worldwide.
For kitesurf instructors, IKO offers professional training programs and globally respected certifications, contributing to a consistent and reliable learning experience for students.
